which lens is better???

Ok, I am buying a nikon D70s and am wondering which package to buy. One is supplied with a nikon lens and the other one is supplied with a sigma lens. Some people told me that sigma was better, others told me that nikon lens was better.

The nikon lens is:

Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Zoom-Nikkor

The sigma lens is:

Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Lens ( DG is digital )

From what I have heard, the Nikon Lenses are nicer, but do cost a little more.

I have a Quantaray (Sigma product line) and I use it as my regular lens over my Nikon! I like the sharpness a lot more from the Quantaray and the fact that it has Macro. Knowing what I know now, I would choose the Sigma.

I would suggest you to buy it in a package with the Nikon 18-70/3.5-4.5 AFS.

IMHO, this is a quite universal use lens on a digital Nikon.
