    Unhappy 8800 and Wide Angle Adapter

    I just purchased a Wide Angle Adapter for my 8800. I'm a little disapointed that I can seem to "force" a flash. It won't let use use the wide angle lens in AUTO mode... It doesn't focus. I love the wide angle, I just can't shoot indoors with the flash any ideas or suggestions?
    I must be missing something.

    I have a coolpix 8800 and I set the flash to on all the time not auto. Some out side shots I use th flash to take care of the shadows.The Spook

    Thank you. I'll give it a try. I thought once you select "WIDE" for a lens type, it automatically disables the flash. I'll let you know how I make out. john
