    Unhappy Help

Hi everyone, I am a newbie at this so I am sorry for any stupid questions I may ask here. I just purchased a Nikon P2 from JR.com and they said it should have a 5x optical zoom, but the box says 3.5x Zoom-Nikkor. Is that same as 5x optical zoom?

Thank You In Advance for any reply

Your opticle zoom is were your zoom ends than you will see the optics move closer and closer. ith picture might look fusey but take the picture than print it. PS you should always tri pod the camera when using the optic zoom.. the Spook. If that dont work email NIKON USA ON THE net

According to Dpreview your Nikon has 3.5 times optical zoom so I'm afraid it looks like they have given you the wrong information. It does have an additional 4x digital zoom but my advice would be to avoid using the digital zoom as it can have a serious effect on quality.

Here's a link to where I got the info
