Sand in camera - opening a 5700?
Hi all,
I was down taking some shots at the beach recently of a cricket game with a few friends. Anyway, I think some sand (possibly wet sand) has gotten into the moveable lenses of my 5700, because I can hear a sort of grinding noise when I focus or the lens moves out when the camera is turned on. Is there any way of cleaning this area (ie through unscrewing the lens)? Its not under warranty in Aus but would the company be able to open in if I couldnt?
There must be SOME way of doing maintenance on it or even replacing the lens etc, but it isnt immediately apparent.
Thanks a lot
Joel
