    Hi,
I am new to digital photography, Nikon 5700 and also to this forum

I haven't tried to take picture of actions but as I rememeber from reading the manual, set the shutter speed to high will freeze the action, like 1/4000 second. If you want to see the blur image like the car is moving at speed, do the opposite: much slower speed. But anything slower than 1/30 will likely require a tripod.

As I mentioned above I am very new to photography so please someone correct me if I am wrong.
