IR compatibility for 5700?
Hi all,
I've been thinking about playing around with IR photography with my 5700. My two questions are:
1) Is the 5700 physically capable of taking decent IR shots? (Tried the remote control test and could see the beam)
2) Can I fit a filter like the Hoya R72 to the camera? I already have adapters for tele and wide angle lenses, is there another adapter available for this type of filter if I need it?
Thanks a lot,
Joel

I have never did any IR work with my 5700, but have seen others work that have. Over all the results were pleaseing, but I dont think the 5700 is your best choice.
As for the adapter you probably have the Nikon (forgot the first letters)8 adapter. You will also need a extension for tele work. But if you most want to do wide angle work, all you have to do it attach a filter to the adapter. You may need to get a stepup ring from the adapter to the IR filter.
There are A LOT of choices when it comes to the adapter, it all depends on how much you are willing to spend and how much your going to use it.
