    Coolpix 5400shade???

    Greetings!
    Just got the 5400-my first digital camera. It
    appears the optional lens shade blocks over half the optical viewfinder. Is there another lens shade I can use??(looks like 45mm diam)

    There is not much you can do in this case. If you have a optical offset viewfinder, the option they (nikon) recommends is using the LCD for frameing and such.

    You can purchase a rubber sheld and cut out for the view finder, but this will defeat the purpose and be worth in my personal experiance.
