Card Compatibility with 5700?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone could confirm that these memory cards are compatible with a Coolpix 5700:

Compact Flash Card 512MB - "Hagiwara Sys-Com" - Toshiba OEM
SANDISK 512MB Compact Flash Card (Type I)

Also, any recommendation on which is a better card?

I know the Sandisk will work, but I am not sure on the other one.

I know I use the Sandisk Ultra II and I have been very pleased with them. I think I am getting ready to pick up another Ultra or a reg. Sandisk.

I use (used) a SanDisk 128, 256, and 512 in my 5700 for quite some time and had no problem EXCEPT be sure to reformat the card IN THE CAMERA every few times.

When you "delete" your shots from the card, this is not the same as reformating.
Deleting, only strips the file location information from the disk. The file information (data) is still there until it is overwritten by a new photo.

Reformating on the other hand, completely rewrites the disk.

Keep this in mind and you should enjoy very good, consistant results.
