FEATURE REQUEST Disable right click on galleries
I know we have a nice community and doubt any of the members will ever " stole" a picture from other people's gallery, but as we grow we will attract all sort of people into our galleries (isn't that what we want?).
I suggest to disable right click on the galleries, to disencourage somebody to " save as" a photo that belongs to someone else. What do you think? The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and seldom simple

Disabling right mouse clicks in the gallery would cause a number of navigation issues for users of internet explorer ¦ the biggest is they would be unable to get the properties for their photos to obtain the true Ή¦url Ύ so that they may imbedded them into forum posts
The best ways to protect your work are
Sign and or water mark them and do not up load it as a Hi Res photo 72dpi is all that is needed for web display
As Joe said if it Ύs in public view disabling right mouse click will not stop someone from getting copy if they wish toBest Regards,
Steve

Paul.
Technical alternatives to allow users have a link to their photos even with right click deactivated exist. There can be a button with a "link to this picture" feature. However I uderstand that as developed and administrator of this site you may want to keep the coding simple to ease the use and maintenance. I respect that. Therefore I withdraw my request.
I normally post my picture low res (75ppi, 920x690 pix). This makes difficult to use them for printing. However someone may use my pictures without my consent for web publication. That's always a risk... Anyhow, I want to believe that in this site that risk is extremely low, and the benefit of havng a community to publish and get critiques of your photos is very significant.
Thanks for taking the time to look on the idea. The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and seldom simple
