Photoshop 8.0 will be with us in the next four months with a new version of Illustrator on the way within three, according to an analyst from investment bank USB Piper Jaffrey.

Gene Munster, quoted in the BusinessWeek news Web site, revealed the information as part of his reason for upgrading the company from outperform to a strong buy, indicating that he thought shares in Adobe were an excellent investment for the future. Munster received his information from sources including six certified Photoshop trainers, who all expect version 8.0 to ship in November or December.

Munster expects new versions of both Illustrator and InDesign to be released around the same time. A book on Illustrator 11 is listed on Amazon.com for launch in mid-October. This fits with Adobe’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚s current focus on interoperability between applications and the necessity of close launches that this requires, as seen in the shortly forthcoming updates of After Effects, Premiere Pro and Encore DVD.
