hi paul,
i am a newbie here and i can’…’‚‚´t’…’‚‚´quite figure out the rules for the monthly challenges - is there a place where they are posted.
entering requires that the pictures are taken within the challenge period... stupid question: when does it start? november 1st or when you sent out the email?
also how does the voting work?

I love the "motion" topic for this months challenge, but looking at upload and EXIF data, I am a little confused to the "start date" of when the earliest could have been for the shot to have been taken. Could you please confirm/clarify? Is it Oct 29, 2006?

you are correct .. the image preferably should be taken during the challenge dates ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ however do to a lack of clarity among members in regards to the rules ( note this is our fault here at byte ) I have been uploading all submissions for discussion ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ I’‚’‚…‚’‚…¾‚ll be addressing this issue before the next challenge begins

I have just recently taken over administration of the photo challenge .. but my intentions are to run it from about the 1st of each month until the 25th of each month .. thus allowing about 5 days time to post last months winner and get next months topic selected ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ as for voting .. each months winner is selected by bytephoto not by vote or score

imho ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ the thrust of the challenge among members should be to discuss and critique the image as opposed to trying to apply a grade or rating to the entry’‚’‚…‚’‚…¾‚s
