May Challenge Theme Set
Hi All
Well here gos. I hope this theme works out OK and as many members as possible feel able to get involved.
The May challenge theme is "The power of three "
Basically any entries where the subject or composition relates in some way to the number three. You could simply have a picture of the number three itself, three objects, three strong components that make up your image, three colours, three divisions anything that relates your image in some way to THREE.
For this challenge, in B&W or/and colour, no intense photo manipulations are allowed, only the levels, brightness, contrast, curves, sharpening and noise removal, can be used.
2 photos per challenge, with the possiblity to replace the originally submitted photos with others, but they must be completely different from the initial entries.
Maximum dimensions 800 pixels wide at 1MB
Only comments, so there is no need to rate.
Freshly shot during challenge period.
Exif data must be included.
Keep your original files, the photographer must be able to produce the original photos if asked.
The challenge ends on May 31st and final entries must be in before midnight GMT+1
Post your entries to challenge@bytephoto.com
with the challenge topic as the subject of the email, also include in the email your name and a title for the photo.
Here's a few examples. Not all good I'm afraid but hopefully it will give the general idea. Examples in next posts.
As I'm the last winner I can't enter this time around but I'll try and comment on as many entries as I can.
Get out there and have fun all.

Examples
Objects don't have to all be in focus as long as they are visible so you can experiment with DOF if you prefer
Objects also don't have to be the same as long as they make up three strong components

Examples
Enough of my pics. Here are a few I found from other members that I thought were great examples . Hope they don't mind me posting them.
Frank (famjad21) "Casting light on the subject"
Spmukherji and "Rhythmic"
And finally Tony Wards "Threes a crowd"
If anyone has some old pics that would make good examples then feel free to post them in reply to this thread. I'd appreciate it. Especially Three colour pics.
Thanks all
Matt

Thanks Dave
I couldn't get the first link to work. Probably my internet settings. The others worked fine and the last link was perfect.
If anyones got any more old pics that suit the challenge then it would be great to see them. Just keep adding to the thread.
Thanks for the help.
