Challenge Topic Ideas
Ok I'll set the new challenge theme in a day or two. I have a few ideas of my own which I may still use but I was after hearing some ideas from the other members. This is your chance to throw your suggestions into the pot. If I don't use them then other future challenge winners might. As ideas are used we can maybe remove those posts so we don't get any repeats. It does feel a little daunting having to choose a new topic so this could help future winners who could just pick from the list if they get a little stuck for ideas.
Any suggestions are good suggestions I don't care how strange, weird, or normal they are.
So come on members lets hear them thoughts.

Hi Matt,
I prefer broad topics where you can use your imagination and creativity. One of my favorite topics is:
'Things aren't what they seem!'
An example of that is my Cyclamen Swan:

Idea Man
Here are some suggestions, and if any are used I will just edit the post to indicate it was, there are times though when certain classic themes might want to be revisited.
Keep in mind that not all PhotoByters will be able to find a shot for every challenge. In my opinion this is fine and I think with some ingenuity almost every challenge can be met. With these suggestions you can also combine to make others such as; Long exposure Nightlife or B&W Architecture etc.
Technical
B&W, Macro, Selective Focus, Pan, In Motion, Long Exposure, Flash Lighting, Specific exposure setting or settings, Candle Light, Silhouetted, Blurred, HDR (high dynamic range), Commercial art (specify product),
Emotional
Joy, Sadness, Celebrate, Love, Anger, Holiday, Nervous, Calm, Funny, Patriotism, Depression, Solitude, Lonely
Environmental
Cityscapes, Landscape, Waterfalls, City people, Street People, Nightlife, Transportation, Sunrise/Sunset, Travel, Water, Fire, Beach, Mountains, Architecture, Windows, Reflections, Neon, Foggy, Sunny, Rain, Cloudy Skies, Signs, Caf*©s or Dinners, Crowded
Chromatic
Blue, Red, Yellow, Pick one or combine
Portraits
Portrait, B&W Portrait, Candid Portrait, Self Portrait, Animal Portrait, Children, Pets, Body Parts (Hands, Feet, Etc.),
Animals
Take your pick; just be aware that some obscure ones might really narrow the field of entries.
Misc.
Food, Texture, Hot, Cold, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, At Play, At Work, Healthy, Natural Effects, In Your Home, Close to Home (give a distance), Family Ties, Sleeping, Caught, Lost, Darkness, Yesteryear, Ancient, Young, New, Distorted, Open Creative, Sharp, Rust, The Letter ¦ “a-z pick one , The 80 Ύs or 70 Ύs etc., Twisted, Stopped or At Rest, Angels, Demons, Waiting, Simple, Oops, Famous
These are a few off the top of my head, make sure to describe the specifics of what you want in your challenge and try to give an example pic even if it is a link to a photo not here at BP.

Hi all!
Here's my suggestion: "STILL LIVE COMPOSITIONS"
Preferably promoting natural lighting...
Suggested subjects: foods, fruits and cerials, rural stuff, farming tools, aged objects like an old tea service or a vintage frame with your grandfather photo when he was a military man...
Almost everything you'd like, really. These are just my personal preferences.

Thanks Frank. That would be a perfect topic. Sadly I'd already chosen this months but I'd love to see it chosen in the future. I've a few ideas already.
Thanks Dave. Wow! Lots of suggestions there. Loads of choice.
Thanks Carlos. I'd enjoy that one. A little out of my comfort zone but I'm sure I would learn plenty taking part. I like the idea of only using natural light too. Very challenging.
For anyone that hasn't seen it the May challenge theme has been set. Details here

So come on folks. Get those thinking heads on and get snapping.
Also keep posting your ideas everyone for future topics.
Thanks everyone
