2 photos per challenge, with the possiblity to replace the originally submitted photos with others, but they must be completely different from the initial entries.

Maximum dimensions 800 pixels wide at 1MB

Only comments, so there is no need to rate.

Freshly shot during challenge period.

Exif data must be included.

Keep your original files, the photographer must be able to produce the original photos if asked.

The challenge ends on March 21st and final entries must be in before midnight GMT+1
Post your entries to challenge(at)bytephoto.com
with the challenge topic as the subject of the email, also include in the email your name and a title for the photo.

1. Are you supposed to rate your own entries?
2. If we're keeping this anonymous, do we avoid responding to comments from others?

1. All comments in the monthly challenge are supposed to be without ratings. It's a bit confusing I know because the rating system is still there but I think removing it caused problems with other areas of the site.

2. Yes it is a good idea to avoid responding to comments on your entries.

No apolagies needed. I'm sure there are others thinking exactly the same questions. Ask away if you have anymore.

I don't really get it, can you vote for your favourite? If you can, where do you go to vote, and where can you see who won?

I thought it closed on the 21st....why are there entries after that date?

I know at least two of these was sent in several days ahead, but admin didn't post until after the deadline. You can't fault the entrant in that case.

I'm not sure, Rosie. They haven't even announced the last month's winner and that person picks the next subject. Then we have two weeks to take the photograph(s) and enter them.

I find it confusing, to say the least. I mean the contest closed April 21st and here we are at the 7uth of May.

the last month's winner was eye_c with his colourful photo, "Hat Lady". we have two weeks to take the photograph(s) and enter them. As you say and then we have 2 or 3 weeks? to comment on them I think that is so? I hope this helps.
