Old 1995 RD-175 and memory card
I found this old camera in my dads storage shed. It says Minolta RD-175 Digital 3ccd. It has a lithium 6v (I think) battery in it and then a seperate spot for 4 AA batteries. It takes great shots. The thing was sealed in a plastic box and looked like it had been used for a couple of years and thrown into storage. It works wonderfully and is like brand new. It even has a macro lens that allows me to get within mm of the shot. Great camera.
My only problem is the memory card is old...it has a copyright 1998 Lexar media on the back. It says 128MB PC card on it. It looks like one of those old internet cards used in ancient laptops. I think it is a PCMCIA card? Is there a card reader out there today that can read this old thing?
I counted the number of holes in the card and there are 68. Hopefully I can get some help. The lexar website directs all calls and online chats to India...they are no help at all for this particular issue.
Thanks!

If you have access to a SCSI 2 cable and an external SCSI 2 source on a laptop or desktop, you can transfer the Photos using the camera as the transfer source and the computer as the receiving device, that is the way to transfer the Pictures. I you have any other questions please contact me at any time.

Dads Old Minolta RD-175
Hello,
I have posted a reply to your problem before. My question is now, are you willing to sell this camera and if so how much would you be selling it for?
Please list all the parts that you have that will be going with the camera. Are pictures of the camera available. If so please post them.
Thanks;
Carter

Hello,Originally posted by carter_s.
If you still have the camera and are willing to sell the camera to me, I can backup the pictures onto a DVD and send the DVD back to you.
Please let me know the price that you want for the Minolta RD-175 Camera and all of the accessories that you have that went along with it. Do you have the original box that it came in? Again I will be glad to down load the Pictures onto a DVD if you are willing to sell me the camera.
I am interested in a price. Please let me know.

Hello,
I have been interested in the RD-175 Cameras and there have been seven different Cameras that I have been watching and looking at and each one of them fell through or were not as described condition. Then I ended up in the Hospital for a month and a half with massive embolisms in my legs and in my lungs witch the doctors could not figure out why they happened. I had 9 catheters that had to be put in my legs to try to stop the swelling. So that is what has been happening with the time.
Now is your RD-175 up for sail and if so I have some questions about it. Is it a Minolta RD-175 or is it an Agfa ActionCam?1) What is coming with the camera? IE; number of SCSI HDD cards. This is the double thick PCMCIA Card. External Flash and what model number, any SCSI Cables and/or adaptors, Lenses and what sizes, IE; 50mm f: 1.7, 35-70 Macro and so on. Filters and the numbers on them and finely number of Batteries with condition, and Charger.
2) What is the over all condition and does it have the original Owners Manual and the box that it came in from Minolta?
3) would you be able to send me some pictures of all that you are willing to sell with the Camera to freeeoncoolingsystems@comcast.net?
4) Now finely what would you be considering for a price?
%0 I would want this to be shipped to zip-code 06108 with Insurance for the final agreed price tag by USPS and I will send you a USPS Money order for the total for the Camera = Shipping and Insurance.
^ As I had stated in my last statement that I will copy all of the pictures back to you on a DVD and I will also include two different Software programs that I use for digital editing. One from Microsoft and the other from Adobe.
Please do not be scared from my long Email but I like to cover all fo the different items in one statement.
Please let me know what your answers are and the total prices are. I hope that we can do business together where the booth of us can be pleased, me with a Camera and you with the pictures and software to work with.
Thank You and God Bless;
Carter
