s414 and Focusing
Hi guys,
I'm trying to decide between a canon A70/a75 and the s414. One of the biggest factors swaying me toward Canon is their focus illuminator system. I'll be doing a lot of landscape shots, a lot of them at night and from the review pictures I've seen, focusing with the s414 seems to be tough. I come from a video background, where focusing manually isn't a very difficult task (larger lcd's) How difficult is it to get a proper focus with this cam?

Thanks for the reply, some really encouraging shots on your site. Three questions for you:
1) Do filters fit right on the lens or is there an adapter required?
2) Ever catch yourself wishing the cam allowed for more than just 2 aperture settings?
3) Do you use the remote, if so how useful do you find it?

Thanks! I actually don't use any filters in my shots. Though I have seen em work both ways with an adapter and without. As far as apeture settings go, hasn't bothered me in the least sense. I shoot generally in full manual with custom white balance and colors set to vivid. As far as the remote goes, haven't touched itOriginally posted by Arseniy

Never had any reason to really as I don't do long exposure shots.
