problem regarding lens on LS443

hey. i know that this camera isn't being produced anymore, but i was wondering if anyone could help with this problem...


when i turn the camera on, the lens makes a hell of a lot of noise and vibrates but it doesn't extend. i kept turning it off and on but it didn't seem to make any difference.

is there anyway to fix it without kodak's help? since they don't manufacture the camera anymore i'd have to pay 150 to get a replacement and i'd rather not do that.

Hey Buzzbuzz. I have an ls443 and the lens does the same thing. I also get an error message "E45". Did you ever get any helpful info on that problem?
