Yet another New Lady in the room
Just thought i would introduce my self to everyone my name is Emma MacDougall i live in the UK and hope i make lots of new friends here i am a Armature like most just like snapping away.
I have made the brave move to step up to a Nikon D90 away from my old D50 that i had for years with great results.
I am married with my daughter Katie and we also have an adorable Boxer Dog called Ellie who is 8 years old who we all love so very much.
So from me to you a BIG HELLO.

omments and critique is what i need on my pictures as you learn from your mistakes and also learn from others.
Never thought i would have a passion for photography like you guys but after taking that picture of my daughter and my boxer dog Ellie that is in my gallery for some unknown reason i just want to snap away.
By looking at some of your pictures you have posted i have lots to learn but hope you point me in the right direction.Last edited by emmamac; Aug 4th, 2009 at 12:34 PM.

Emma,
Welcome to Byte. I looked at your gallery and you have some very nice photographs in it. Especially some of your portraits. Please join the contest and enter some of your portraits of the little girl. There are some great portrait photographers on this site that can give you advice...Ellen for one.

Emma,
Most of the time if you only post pictures to your gallery, people dont see them to even comment. Once you submit pictures to the contest, everyone participating in the contest each week will see them and know you are looking for comments and suggestions
If you look above on the menu, you will see the options.....
News Reviews Forums Gallery Photo Contests Editing Tips etc
Click on photo contests and it will bring you to the same link below.
Then on the left you will see the upload link

Make sure you choose "Photo Contest"

Actually, a lot of times, people post pictures because they want help with the picture.
The contest, although fun, has almost become second and the wonderful feedback and help with your photography is first
The one you uploaded is good. Pick one you think is good, and one you think you need help with
