    Photo slideshow-showme is good enough

photo slideshow-showme is a easy tool to manage your digital photo, and to make stunning slideshow and video(VCD, ASF) to share with your friends. You can find it in download.com.

For freeware, it's hard to beat Picasa which you can download and try (and use completely free) from picasa.google.com

I actually downloaded and bought Picajet over a year and a half ago.
All that it says it does is pretty impressive but last I checked it had lots of bugs to be worked out.
If I wwre you I would sign up for the forums on their website and see the types of problems people are having with the software before you purchase it.

I did hear Picassa was nice but last I tried that more than a year ago it didnt read RAW files for my Nikon. A raw viewer was a must in my book before I even would try something out.
That could have changed where it now accepts RAW/NEF files but I cant confirm a yes on that yet

Yes, the current specs now specify that Picasa does read RAW files:

RAW data files, including cameras from Canon, Nikon, Kodak, Minolta and Pentax.
