    FinePix S2000HD ?

    HI I have a Fuji E550 digital camera and have decided to upgrade to the
    FinePix S2000HD new on the market

    so any comments on this one would be helpful part of the research has come up is that I am able to use filters on this one

    as most of us I am still learning

    I am limited to a budget and this is about my limit so here are some specs

    * 10.0 million pixels
    * HD Compatible
    * 15x Optical Zoom
    * Up Close & Beautiful
    * RRP: $399
    Photo and Movie on HDTV
    Still

    Capture high resolution images in 16:9 format. (3,648 x 2,056 pixels, 1,920 x 1,080 pixels)
    Movie

    Capture high resolution images in 16:9 format. 1280 x 720 pixels [HD] (Max recording time: 15 min.) / 640 x 480 pixels / 320 x 240 pixels (30 frames/sec.)

    Allow 15x zoom ups during your recordings

    Super Macro mode sets an accurate focus moving in as close as approx. 1cm (0.4 inch) . Impressive full-frame close-ups can be taken.

    Wide-angle to zoom, hassle-free
    The high-quality Fujinon lens is engineered to perform at focal lengths from expansive wide-angle 27.6mm to dynamic 414mm zoom. That means the palm-sized FinePix S2000HD is always ready to shoot any scenario, with no need to stop and exchange bulky lenses.

    thak you for your comments

    Fuji makes a nice product. Depending upon how new the model I might wait a few months until there are some field reports on the product.

    If you are serious about the hobby and you could save some more money, I would look at a used SLR (Fuji S2...Nikon D70 or D40...Canon products). Look at KEH.com.

    I had a Fuji S2 and it gave excellent results at 6.2 megapixels.

    one good thing so far is removing the card is from a different location

    it has its own panel unlike the previous camera the fuju E550 the had both the battery and card slot in the same location

    makes life a lot easier

    so far i am enjoying the new camera it is much more simple to use and I am sure it will not take to long to master it
