Finepix A350 Lense problems

Heya,
Awhile ago my Finepix A350 camera started malfunctioning. I turn it on and sometimes the lense cover doesn't come out all the way (if that makes sense). The distance it does come out changes, and is completely random...
Due to the lense cover not coming out, the picture is (obviously) blurry.
I can manage to get the lense to extend all the way.. if i turn the camera on and off until it does.. OR if i open the battery compartment, take out the batteries.. and blow in the battery compartment. If i do that it that way the lense usually extends without fail, but then if i turn it off again.. then it won't.
So, i'm guessing it's a battery problem.. but i know it has nothing to do with battery power and the batteries l'm using because i've changed them and it still happens.
Does anyone have ANY idea what the problem is and how i could possibly fix it? it's been happening for quite a long time.. and it probably started happening around 3-4 months after i got the camera.
Any ideas? I'd really appreciate it..

I have the same issue with A350. I am sure it is not the battery as tried with several different batteries.
Please let me know if you find any solution.

Really? That's interesting. Well, i sent mine away to fuji... and they fixed it (gave it a new lense) but within 2 weeks the problem had come back... so i sent it back to them and they gave me a new finepix a600, obviously they couldn't find the solution either... but i'd suggest sending it to the fuji repair centre, if it's still in warranty... maybe the repair will actually work for you?
