I also encountered the same error message (Focus Error) on my 18 month old A205 cam, without any accident occuring. With no prior warning, after taking a series of photos, the message came up and now can no longer use the camera. The lens moves in and out but cannot take any photos. Switching camera off, removal and replacing of batteries and card and switching cam back on again was of no avail. Would greatly appreciate any solution not involving expensive and time-wasting repairs.
