I found a Telephoto lens that I erally like and is close to my price range, and spent all of yesterday getting myself excited about ordering it, I decided to wait until the end of the day just to make sure that it's a purchase I really wanted to make. Well about the time I was going to bed I decided to actually do some research on it and now I'm quite iffy.

this one. It's a 8x Telephoto lens.
The 2 things that have me concerned the most were. Some people were saying that they wouldn't put a lens that heavy onto any camera with plastic threads, and the s5100 has plastic threading...also, some of the sample pictures I found had some vignetting.
So I'm just wondering everyone's opinion on this. none of the comments about the vignetting or weight were about the s5100 specifically, but I'm worried that they will apply to my camera.
any insight?
