Going to Disneyland... S5100 preset advice?

Hi!

I am going to Disneyland with my dad for the first time in 20 years, and I want to get the best shots possible.

I just bought the Fuji S5100.

I will be in dark rides a lot, and the shots will often have to be taken while I am moving. I am a total novice to presets, and I was hoping that someone would have some good advice on some settings for the camera that I could pre-program in and use in different situations.

I too have the s5100 and I think for the MOST enjoyment, while there, set it to auto and click away. That camera has a decent flash so don't be afraid to use it .. please let me know how it worked out ..

Oh, I forgot to mention the one problem I have... Flash photography is not allowed inside the rides.

So, the main problem is, how do I make some nice presets in order to take good pictures in a fairly dark environment, while moving?

Sorry, my bad, I forgot to include that very important piece of info on the original post...

Oh, in that case it is going to be tough .. I would say that the best thing you could do then is use Aperature priority and use the LARGEST ( smallest number ) Aperature settting .. that will auto expose for you and open the shutter for the LEAST amout of time that it can .. I think you will still find that your pictures will mostly be a blur in low light, moving rides .. good luck .. anyone else have any ideas?

Change the ISO setting to 200 or 400 and use the Programed Auto [P] setting on thwe camera. You should do fine.

I just got back from Disneyland. It was a special night event.

Did not get many photos because it was night.

But seriously. Don't try to take photos on the rides. You will take a big chance at loosing the camera, or getting it wet.

You can on slow rides. but because you are moving, even at asa400 and the lens wide open, your shutter speeds are just too low.

Tip: grap a cheap automatic slave flash. they come with mounts that will work with any digital camera. This allows you to use much faster shutter speeds at night and some function with a flash distance of 40 feet or more.

Just google "slave flash" to see the brands and prices.
