new member--have card problem

my cf card for my fuji finepix s602 keeps coming up :

card not initialised !!


i have emptied the cards folders on the pc and tried formatting on pc but it wont let me also reset my camera but it still comes up

im lost for what else i can do to get it working again

anyone help???

There should be a format function on the camera's menu system. Try that.

If that doesn't work, borrow or buy another card (go to a store and ask to try one). If the new one works then you have a bad card--if the new one doesn't work then there is probably something wrong with the camera.

my 602z has the same problem i have tried formatting my cards and i have about 5 and they all say cards not initalised on either compact flash or secure media. the camera was working fine and now its just getting the messages all the time. any helps please
