Recent Announcements Reaffirm Fujifilm's Leadership Position in the Digital Imaging Industry

Latest product portfolio demonstrates ongoing commitment to leadership, technology and innovation in the consumer space

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. today announced the arrival of several new products allowing photographers of all levels to benefit from the company's leading proprietary technology and high-quality imaging. As a pioneer in the digital imaging field, Fujifilm recognizes that the impact made by digital photography is felt throughout all aspects of the consumer imaging marketplace. It is the company's continued goal to provide consumers with market-leading and cutting-edge options that complement their levels of expertise while meeting their unique imaging and information needs.

In total, five new digital cameras, and a universal Picture Cradle were announced. The FinePix cameras (A205, A210, A310, S5000, S7000) range from entry-level, point-and-shoot digital cameras for everyday memories to more advanced digital SLR-type cameras that allow photo enthusiasts maximum control over their images. Three of the cameras, the FinePix A310, S5000 and the S7000 contain the company's Super CCD HR (High Resolution) sensors, which provide the rich color reproduction and life-like detail Fujifilm is famous for, as well as enhanced resolution with minimal noise disturbance. In addition, the accessories announced today provide additional options for consumers, allowing them to easily enhance their picture-taking experiences.

About the Latest Products:

FinePix A205: 2.0 million effective pixels, which produces crisp 5 x 7 prints at 1600 x 1200 recorded pixels. In addition, the camera offers 3x optical and 2.5x digital zoom, and works with Fujifilm's optional new universal CP-FXA10 Picture Cradle for easy battery recharging, image downloading and video conferencing. The FinePix A205 offers 10 frames/second AVI movie capabilities, and these clips can be replayed on a TV, and recorded with a VCR through the cradle's easy cable set-up. The camera will be available for purchase in August at a suggested price of $199.95.

FinePix A210: 3.24 million effective pixels allows the camera to create vivid 8 x 10 prints at 2048 x 1536 (3.2 million) recorded pixels, while offering 3x optical and 3.2x digital zoom. The FinePix A210 is also compatible with the optional CP-FXA10 Picture Cradle, and also captures 10 frames/second AVI movies. Both the FinePix A205 and A210 are ideal choices for first-time digital camera users. The camera will be available for purchase in August at a suggested price of $279.95.

FinePix A310: The first affordable point-and-shoot camera with the company's fourth-generation Super CCD HR. The FinePix A310's 3.1 million effective pixels can produce high-resolution images with 2,816 x 2,120 (6.0 million) recorded pixels, allowing consumers to print crisp and vivid prints up to 16 x 20 inches in size. The camera provides a 3x optical and 2.9x digital zoom, works with the optional CP-FXA10 Picture Cradle, and captures 10 frames/second AVI movies without sound. In addition, the FinePix A310 offers four special shooting modes as well as continuous autofocus and three color modes. The camera will be available for purchase in August at a suggested price of $299.95.

FinePix S5000: A consumer digital SLR camera model with a powerful 10x optical zoom, the FinePix S5000 offers 3.1 million effective pixels, which can produce images of 2,816 x 2,120 (6 million) recorded pixels for high-quality prints up to 16 x 20 inches in size. The camera also offers full manual controls and QVGA movie recording with sound. The camera will be available for purchase in August at a suggested price of $499.95.

FinePix S7000: The FinePix S7000 offers 6.3 million effective pixels, which can produce images of 4048 x 3040 (12.3 million) recorded pixels for best-quality prints up to 20 x 30 inches in size. Photo enthusiasts will enjoy the camera's 6x optical and 3.2x digital zoom, full manual controls, including RAW file capture and dual slot media storage devices. The FinePix S7000 offers full VGA movie recording with sound at 30 frames per second. Clips can be played back for friends and family on a television, recorded on VCR, or stored using ImageMixer VCD for FinePix 2.0 software to burn CD-ROMs. The camera will be available for purchase in October for $799.95.

Universal CP-FXA10 Picture Cradle: the first universal cradle system for Fujifilm's FinePix A-series cameras, the CP-FXA10 faciliates image downloads, provides easy power recharging, works in PC-Cam mode and also acts as a video platform when connected to a television set. The cradle will be available for purchase in August for $74.95.
