5d Mark II sensor problems??
After much searching and discussion with my camera's issue, no one has seen this problem before.
I have the 5d Mark II, 70-200 2.8, and 24-70 2.8 lenses. This problem occurs with both lenses when shooting during midday, high contrast lighting situation through out all ISO ranges with the problem being worse with higher ISO's.
Anyone see this before?

Did you check the cool way the new website displays your pictures? Its the first I have seen it. Click on the first and what what happens
Kind Regards.

HI Kevin,
I've been looking at these images trying to imagine what might cause this issue. I'll be perfectly honest that I am in no way, shape, or form a guru. My first observation is that I'd actually describe these as low contrast shots especially the misty ones which are the images where the anomaly is most visible. My only thought at this juncture is to try taking a shot with the viewfinder closed. Once you see this behaviour again set the camera to a timed release and close the viewfinder and see if that makes any difference.

Thinking that light was leaking in somewhere, somehow as I can take a photo indoors and not get this problem but then point it outside and it shows up. I put the lens cap on and shooting in BULB mode, I held the shutter open and placed the camera under a bright light and moved it around. Result -- no issues.
I then shawn a flashlight straight in the lens. Result -- no issues.
I then thought that perhaps the problem is a result from indirect light or bounce light coming in on an angle and took these two photos of my lamp on an angle. Result -- PROBLEM OCURED
It's not just a problem with the lens as my friend has the same 24 - 70 lens so I tried his yesterday at the skating party and found the I got the same problem with his lens.Kevin

I received my camera back today from Canon. They replaced the shutter assembly. It seems to work fine now.
Thanks Canon for a speedy repair job!!Kevin
