My EOS 350D just won't turn on!

Afternoon all

Hope I have posted this in the right section first of all.


I have a Canon EOS 350D camera, I took out the memory card last night (09/04) to upload some pictures to my Laptop and left my memory card out of the camera when I went to bed, I came down stairs in the morning and went to put my memory card in to delete my photos off of it and I put the card in & turned my camera on and nothing happened, nothing in the slightest at all!
I have a BG-E3 battery pack and I thought that might have given up so I took it out and put a battery into the actual camera and nothing again, it won't turn on at all!

I haven't dropped the camera or damaged it in anyway.

Any ideas?!

are you sure the battery is 100% charged?
I would charge the battery and place it back in the camera again just to be sure before you call for repair to Canon.

Let us know what happens

Batteries on charge as we speak, will get back to you on it.

And after a charge of the batteries the Camera now works fine, which makes me feel like a Fool! ;-)


But having said that,

The battery bar didn't go or anything whilst using it...

Sometimes you just have to rest it.
Its happened to me in the past.

Glad you put enough info in your byte registration form for me to warrent making you active.

Welcome to the forum. FYI, depending on your camera settings, it may not turn on if your memory card is not installed either. Something to keep in the back of your mind. --Rick

Thanks for that Rick. Had my Camera since October '08 and haven't had that problem before, but as you say. Will keep it in the back of my mind!
