    Powershot 500 - Memory card slot repair

    Sup guys. I dropped my camera pretty hard and now the little door where the memory goes into won't close. I don't know what it's called so i just call it a door. There was a piece in the middle that locks the memory card but it broke off. Where can I buy the part to fix it. Is this something that I should do myself or should i have someone with experience handle it? Thanks in advanced for you help.

    I doubt the parts are available to the public direct, even if it was a DIY job. I would take it into a camera shop first and see what they have to say (a 'proper' camera shop, not a department store outfit).

    the part is actually called memory card door. hahaha. I called canon and ordered it. Thanks anyways.
