Capture still frames under C program control
Hi there,
I hope to find the solution for my following problem here:
A robot is connected to a Windows (NT) machine and a C program running on that machine controls the motion of that robot. Canon PowerShot S50 is attached to the end-effector of the robot and is connected to the same machine through USB cable. This camera comes with a Remote Capture software, which can electrically actuate the camera to take the pictures by some keystrokes/mouse clicks.
Now, I want to do the following steps automatically so that I can control the motion of the robot and take the pictures with the camera using remote capture software:
(1) Move the robot to a specified location (working C program is ready for this).
(2) Transfer the control to remote capture software (NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS).
(3) Capture an image with the camera by emulating keystrokes required in the remote capture software (NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS).
(4) Release the control back to original C program and go to step (1) (NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS).
I will appreciate any pointers on this.
Thanks,
Kishor.
