Canon Thread, Error E18 - Help! in Digital Camera Discussions; I have a Canon Powershot S200. Now when I turn it on message "E18" appears on screen and nothing else ...

    Unhappy Error E18 - Help!

    I have a Canon Powershot S200. Now when I turn it on message "E18" appears on screen and nothing else happens. Canon web site only says "some problem with the lens".

    Does anyone know what it is or how to fix it ?

    Lightbulb E18 resolution

    Unfortunately, I've not seen a user-level resolution for this issue. It's a common problem which I've seen a lot, but in my experience, it requires a trip to a service center to fix it.
