Experience the great power of a 14X zoom range and enjoy an amazing 2 in 1 zoom. Tamron's new high-power 18-250mm zoom is a photographer's dream come true - a single lens capable of shooting both wide angle and ultra telephoto scenes. Conventional 35mm film cameras always required two lenses to handle the 28-400mm range. But Tamron's new high-power zoom - at 13.9x, the world's most powerful zoom - delivers all the photographic freedom of this enormous range in a single, compact...

This a great lens. I have had mine since they first came out. Not too expensive. This is my all around go to lens especially for traveling. I only have to take one lens when I carry my small camera bag.

I have the 18-270VC , but I'm sure the 18-250 works just as well.
I was kinda forced to buy a new lens to replace my Nikon 18-200VR when my D300 and the 18-200VR fell into the Delaware River a couple weeks ago

You are right about it being an all around lens. I loved my 18-200VR, pretty much never took it off unless I wanted to use my Sigma 150mm F2.8 macro.
I also have the Nikor 70-300VR lens that I use from time to time.
