This is quite a surprise for me . All I can say is thank you and it humbles me to be honored by my peers. Buddy, Andrew, Shelia, Tony and Varun thanks for all the help over the past months. I have entered the contest several times but this is my first win or even in the finals. I have a great time on this site and am always learning something.

I really appreciate your insight to my photos.
I took up photography two years ago at the age of 56. My last of four boys was off to college and with no planning I considered on a new hobby. I had never had the time or the money to get into it and now with time, I plunged into photography.
I loved taking photos but was about to give up on the contest route until I read your quote by George Eliot. It really inspired me to keep trying. Along with all the great help from yourself and others here I have been able to accomplish in photography more than I ever hoped.

It's well worth printing it out, framing it and finding the best wall in your house ..... and find a place where it could exhibited.
