I am really happy for you...with this shot you could not but win POTW!

Yep, a very impressive shot indeed. Congrats Graham!
BTW, does "Tres en couleur" mean "A lot of colour" or something similar? I learnt a little French few years ago, forgot most of it though

Hi ( or should I say "Bonjour"
)
The expression "Tres en couleur" literally means "really in colour"...but be careful because if you pronounce the word "couleur" like "colere" it would mean "really angry"!!!
well done again Graham! (and Varun for your almost spot on translation
)

Thanks heaps guys!!!
Your thoughts and comments mean a lot to me. Thanks for all you've said about my work and this image in particular.
It also means a lot to me that people of all levels of experience will embrace my work either to critique or simply to enjoy.
I highly value this site and the opportunity it provides myself and others to share opinions and work and I particularly appreciate the positive members I run into from time to time.
It's great to be amongst you guys.
Makes this incredibly subjective artform and all the work involved all worthwhile.
Hi Mike, I'm not french at all, lol but I wanted a title that lent itself to my attempt at an impressionistic image. My thinking varun, was simply along the lines of 'Three Colours' - lol I actually envisioned three coloured fettucini pasta...as in spinach, tomato and egg coloured, and often it's branded or described as 'Tri Colore' in Italian. I really do appreciate the interest this generates.
I literally wanted to pay homage to the french masters I guess by searching for the literal french translation of Tri Colore (I actually employed an English to French translation website)...so I'm glad I was somewhat successful without being offensive!! phew lol...
Mike...congrats on your Puffing Billy image btw!...sensational...man have I been on that train a few times in my youth...
duff!! tyvm and wonderful to see you
Thanks so much again guys.

Graham, "Three Colours" would be "Trois Couleurs" in French. Am I right Mike?

I was confused with the title because I understood it as 'very in colour' (like what Mike said). Seemed to me like he intended to say 'A lot of colour'

Bonjour

Yes "tricolore" is the actual translation (three colours) but you could also say "trois couleurs"...
But we're not having a French lesson are we
??!!
"Felicitations" (congratulations) again Graham!!!MIKE
